Judges Linda Tyler, Mark Braunias and Joyce Campbell described the work as combining references to the Bauhaus, Cubist and Modernist movements with assured handling of colour and composition: ‘It made for a bold, memorable and deeply informed painting.’ The Award Winners and Travelling Finalists exhibition is at Pah Homestead until November and will then tour to Porirua, Nelson, Christchurch and Morrinsville.
